1、 Wall stone installation method
1. Wet paste
Paste the stone on the foundation surface of the building with cement, dolomite glue, adhesive, etc.
2. Dry hanging
The metal pendant and stone can be combined on the wall or hung on the steel frame with bolts. The principle is that the main force bearing point is set on the main structure, and the stone is fixed on the building through a metal pendant.
2、 Factors affecting flatness
The installation technology of dry hanging stone on the inner wall is more advanced and more complex. In the whole process, there are several factors that can affect the final flatness.
1. Stone deformation
When the stone is processed in the factory, it generally will not deform. Deformation mainly occurs in transportation, stacking, and other links. For example, the factory will saw the waste material into very large raw boards. In the process of ex-factory transportation, the larger size of these original plates will cause their own easy deformation.
In addition, in the process of stacking, uneven ground, uneven stress, and long-term stacking will cause stone deformation. Some stone materials, through wind and sun, temperature changes, water absorption, and evaporation will also bring significant changes in the physical properties of stone materials, which is easy to cause plate deformation.
2. Installation error
The installation process and the precision of the pendant will have an impact on the final flatness.
3. Small details are difficult to handle
As mentioned earlier, the grinding of wall stone is very difficult. For example, grinding off the overall error of 1 ~ 2mm is not difficult for the ground stone. But for the wall, it is a terrible workload and labor intensity.
4. Psychological function
Interior wall stone, closest to people. Therefore, people’s requirements for it are higher than that of exterior wall stone, which is a small factor.
3、 Treatment idea: grinding is not recommended
Through the above description, we can explain the idea we always adhere to: it is not recommended to grind the wall stones. The reason is simple: the effect is not good. At present, the appearance and overall effect of wall stone installed with the original plate without treatment are much higher than that of time-consuming and labor-consuming grinding treatment. 4、 Treatment method
For the overall design and flatness treatment of wall dry hanging, in the long-term work, we have also summarized the following three skills, which can be properly handled during installation.
1. Driving wedge
During installation, if there is an obvious height difference at the joint of two plates. Wood wedges of appropriate size can be cut with wood sticks and other materials on the construction site. Wedge into the lower part of the plate along the edge of the concave plate to adjust the high ground drop to a satisfactory condition.
2. Lead in grooves, gaps, etc
The splicing of plates is processed into various grooves, such as V-groove, T-groove, other types of grooves, reserved joints, etc. – these treatments are carried out through visual transfer at the joints, so as to eliminate the visual effect caused by the height difference of stones. At the same time, it is also a special process treatment method, which is very beautiful.
3. Sheet “orthomorphic”
As mentioned earlier, the transportation and stacking of plates may cause the deformation of plates. Then, we can also use the same principle to “shape” the deformed stone. The specific methods are as follows:
Step 1: find a flat stone with high hardness, such as a granite plate, and place it on flat ground.
Step 2: put the deformed plate flat one by one.
Step 3: spray some water if necessary. After absorbing water, the stone will have a certain softening effect, which is more conducive to the adjustment and molding of the plate.
Step 4: place it for a period of time according to the needs of the project. The plate can be straightened again.
