The stone line usually refers to the straight line or curve line product formed by processing with natural granite and marble as raw materials and the cross-section is arbitrarily combined into a certain geometry by curves and straight lines. ● Stone line processing process
1. Slitting
Use thick large plates to cut into different widths, and the thickness and width are determined according to the alignment.
2. Reinforcement
Marble lines need to be reinforced with different materials. Reinforcement materials generally include stainless steel strips, aluminum strips, aluminum honeycomb, artificial stone, etc.
Different widths, different stones, and different lines will be reinforced with different materials. Generally, a small line of about 50mm can be added with an aluminum strip; About 100mm lines can be reinforced with artificial stone or two aluminum strips; an Aluminum honeycomb can be used for reinforcement above 100mm. Aluminum honeycomb reinforcement can reduce the weight of stone bars and be more solid, but the cost is also relatively high. During reinforcement, pay attention to the exposed position of the stone line. Because the stone line has the effect of closing, the exposed position of the stone line needs special treatment. Special attention should also be paid to the processing process to facilitate production and prevent it from falling off.
3. Modeling
After line cutting and reinforcement, modeling can be carried out. The line can be formed by a gong machine or molding machine. If it is an arc line, the shape should be engraved with an engraving machine, and then cut out with a water knife machine.
4. Patching (as required)
After line modeling, if cracks and holes are caused, they need to be patched. Dolomite glue, color paste, and stone powder (or stone particles) are generally used for filling. The mended lines need to go through the gong machine again.
5. Glue brushing (as required)
Filled or lighter lines need to be painted with glue. Brush glue to protect the surface of the line and fill some small holes and cracks.
6. Grinding
Grinding is divided into automatic grinding and manual grinding.
If the lines come out of the molding machine, they can directly enter the automatic grinder. The automatic grinder is divided into two parts. Because the lines need to be ground on one side first and then on the other side, two automatic grinders need to be connected and used together.
Manual grinding is for wider and customized lines. Due to the limitations of the machine, manual grinding is required. Generally, it is repeatedly polished manually with sandpaper to achieve sufficient brightness.
7. Shaving
After a series of processes, the stone line also needs to be trimmed.
8. Packing
The finished stone line can enter the final link.
● Construction technology of stone lines
1. Construction process
Construction preparation – base course treatment – leveling and setting outline angle cutting – sticking (or welding with reinforcement) local repair – finished product protection.
2. Use tools
Hand saw, saw blade, ink bucket, tape measure, angle ruler, trowel, ash knife, wallpaper knife, scissors, broom, thread support plate, 2m guiding rule, electric mixer, steel wire brush, sandpaper, etc.
3. GRC line installation requirements
1) When the Section specification is less than 800mm × 800 mm, directly on the concrete wall Ф eight × 100 expansion bolts are welded and fixed with embedded parts of GRC components
2) Special attention: when the wall is light masonry, it is required to Ф 8. The wall bar made of reinforcement shall be welded and fixed with the embedded parts of GRC components.
3) Installation of window covers. Install expansion bolts on the wall or weld the wall rod with the embedded parts of the component. There shall be no less than 4 fixed points within 2000mm of the single component and no less than 6 fixed points beyond 2000mm.
4) Installation of various shapes, peach-shaped plates, column heads, and other large components. The embedded parts of GRC members are welded and fixed with expansion bolts or wall crossing rods.
● Installation method of stone line
1. Wall selection
Stone and marble lines weigh stone and can be directly pasted on the surface of cement base course; If the wall has been painted, the putty powder or wall paint on the wall needs to be scraped off, or a layer of the wood base can be added to the powdered wall.
2. Fixed mode
Paste with marble glue or nail-free glue. For the brand of glue, it is recommended to choose one with a good reputation and quality.
3. Splicing mode
When turning the corner, use the method of horizontal 45 ° cutting and splicing. The length of marble lines can be customized without splicing, which can meet the needs of users on the length of lines; If you choose a shorter line, you need to splice it, which doesn’t look so natural.
In addition, some merchants propose to use corners to reduce losses. This method is not recommended. Whether the corners can completely realize seamless splicing or not will greatly reduce the beauty of lines.
