How to stack stone blocks?

Stone processing requires a large number of waste materials, so a large number of waste materials need to be placed at the waste material site. In order to meet the needs of future development, earn more money, ensure the smooth progress of major engineering production and processing, and ensure on-time delivery, some stone enterprises will purchase a large number of waste materials.

However, the stone industry is also a special industry. Sometimes the raw materials purchased by stone enterprises may not be the materials needed in the market and engineering, which leads to a large backlog of raw materials in stone enterprises, and the site for the storage of raw materials is tight so that the placement of raw materials is not standardized, there are ultra-high placement, mixed-size placement, channel blockage or even no channel, and the waste material site is full of danger everywhere, Some dangers threaten employees working in the quarry. Over the years, some major safety accidents have occurred in the quarry, mainly due to the disorderly management of the quarry and the lack of. In this article, let’s talk about the problem of waste material stacking.

01 requirements for waste material placement site

✮ the waste material placing site must have sufficient strength and hardness. It is not allowed to place waste materials. After a few years, the ground sinks and is pockmarked. I have seen

The quarry of a stone enterprise is built in this way: first lay thick gravel on the ground, place the waste for several years and then pave the ground after the ground sinks. If the ground does not sink or the amount of subsidence is small after one year, re-segment the waste floor. If you directly use the roller to flatten the waste site, the strength and hardness are not enough, and the waste site is easy to sink or deform after being used for a period of time. If the reinforced concrete floor is made in the waste yard, the cost is high, and it will deform, crack and sink after a long time of use.

✮ the ground on which the waste materials are placed should be flat and hard. It is not necessary to make asphalt ground or cement ground, but the ground must be solid, strong, and hard.

✮ there should be no holes, depressions, or potholes in the waste material site. The water storage pond should have good drainage facilities and a drainage system.

✮ if there is enough space in the waste material site, it is best to place the waste materials with regular shapes and irregular shapes separately.

✮ if the factory processes fixed engineering projects for a long time and the materials are determined, it is best to place the waste materials according to the engineering projects and next to the machines for their respective processing.

02 height of waste material stacking

Strictly speaking, the maximum height of waste material stacking shall not exceed three layers (including the height of skids). If the height of the waste material is 2 meters, that is, the height of the waste material shall not exceed 6 meters. Because of such a high height, it is extremely dangerous for the employees engaged in the hoisting of waste materials to move the third layer of waste materials.

In some stone enterprises, the author has seen employees “Teng, move, jump and jump” on such high waste materials, as if there were people with peerless martial arts performing. The scene was tense and terrible.

03 distance between a waste material gantry crane and waste material

The distance between the waste material and the maximum body of the gantry crane is 1m, and the narrowest one cannot be less than 70cm. Most stone processing enterprises are difficult to meet this requirement.

04 row spacing between waste materials

Stone processing enterprises will not leave row spacing for the placement of waste materials, because it wastes space. Well done enterprises may leave space every few lines. The waste materials shall be placed neatly in rows, and the distance between rows shall be at least 1m (at least 79cm), so as to facilitate the workers of the using Department of the workshop to select the waste materials, the hoisting workers to bind the waste materials, and have a safe space distance when it is necessary to move the waste materials. If there is no condition to leave line spacing between lines, at least ensure that the two lines are parallel and leave line spacing.

05 row spacing between waste materials and waste materials

The waste materials shall be placed neatly in rows, and the distance between the rows and columns shall be at least 1m (at least 70cm), so as to facilitate the workers’ binding and hoisting of waste materials and have a safe distance when moving waste materials. However, in order to put more waste materials in the waste yard, stone processing enterprises will not have column spacing for each row of waste materials. Even if the column spacing is reserved, the column spacing is extremely small, so they can only pass sideways.

06 distance between waste materials and buildings

Waste materials shall be placed at a certain distance from building walls, fences, other fixed columns, buildings, equipment, etc., or moving obstacles (mostly people) and drainage facilities, preferably no less than 1m.

07 requirements for skid between layers of waste materials

Wood is the best spacer material between the waste material layer and the layer because the wood has good flexibility and can bear great force without fracture; It is easy to plug into the waste material to form a strong force. The cushion wood between the waste material layer and the layer shall be pine wood, and the cross-sectional area shall not be less than 150 * 150. Too thin, the strength of the skid is not enough, and it is broken by the waste material pressed on it. The skid shall be free of cracks and knots. Stones and cement blocks cannot be used as skids between layers of waste materials.

08 stacking requirements of waste materials

The place from the ground up according to the size of the waste material. Irregular waste materials cannot be placed on the bottom layer or the second layer, and other irregular waste materials cannot be stacked on it. When placing irregular waste materials, wooden wedges or squares shall be padded to prevent the shaking of irregular waste materials and ensure their long-term stability.

When the irregular waste materials are stacked on the regular waste materials, the wider side of the more neat side shall be placed on the bottom waste materials to ensure the stability of the irregular waste materials; The surface of smaller waste materials shall not protrude from the surface of lower waste materials to prevent the falling of waste materials or the angle of protruding parts.

Several smaller blocks can be placed on the lower block, but these smaller blocks cannot extend laterally beyond the upper surface of the base block. On small blocks, other blocks or other stones cannot be stacked.

The clear space distance between the highest point of the top layer of waste material and the lowest point where the hook rises to the limit position shall be greater than 2m, so as to ensure that the top layer of waste material can safely pass through the waste material placement area.

Over the years, safety accidents in the waste dump have occurred from time to time. The reason is that the waste dump is disorderly and there is no standard, which is caused by making the most full and maximum use of every inch of space in the waste dump. Therefore, for the safety of your employees, please place the waste materials according to the specifications.
