01. Selection of cutting machine table panel

Due to the brittleness of the rock slab, the tabletop of the bridge-cutting machine is required to be relatively high. The table top should be basically horizontal, flat, and free of pits and grooves. In particular, the cutting of thin plates with a thickness of less than 10mm requires higher requirements for the tabletop of the bridge cutting machine. If the deck of the bridge cutting machine is a wooden deck, pay attention to that the connection gap between the square timbers of the deck should not be in a line with or perpendicular to the saw blade, but should be inclined at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, which can avoid serious edge collapse or even bursting of the bottom of the rock plate when the saw blade happens to cut the joint when cutting the rock plate. If there are too many sawn seams on the surface of the wooden deck, it shall be milled in time to eliminate sawing grooves.

02. Selection of cutting blade

The hardness of the rock plate is high. Ordinary marble and granite saw blades cannot be used to cut the rock plate. Even if it can be cut, the cut products will be prone to edge collapse, serrated edges, and low cutting efficiency. Therefore, the special saw blade shall be used to cut the rock slab. Saw blades that are suitable for cutting one type of rock slab may not be suitable for cutting another type of rock slab. If the cutting efficiency is low and the cutting edge is sawtooth, rock slab burst, or broken, it is necessary to find a suitable saw blade for cutting in time. Before use, the rock plate saw blade shall be cut with refractory bricks just like the natural stone saw blade to expose the emery on the diamond blade of the saw blade and improve the sharpness of the saw blade. Only with the sharpness of the saw blade high, can the cutting efficiency be high, and the problems of edge collapse, corner loss, and burst in the process of rock plate cutting can be reduced.

03. Control of cutting speed of rock slab

In the process of rock slab cutting, the machine cannot be driven very fast and make a harsh sound like cutting a natural stone slab. The faster the cutting speed is, the greater the impact on the rock plate is. Under the strong impact force, the more likely the rock plate is to collapse, corner fall, burst, or fracture. When the operator of the bridge cutting machine gets the saw blade of the rock plate, pay attention to the recommended cutting speed table on the paper box for packing the rock plate saw blade. It is more appropriate to cut the rock plate with the above-recommended cutting speed parameter, or slightly higher than the recommended cutting speed.

04. Cut the largest product first, and then cut the smaller product

It is a basic principle to cut stone slabs from the largest products to the smaller ones. However, many bridge-cutting machine plate-cutting workers may not follow this principle. They tend to cut products with uniform sizes and large quantities first, and then cut products with small quantities. The precondition for this is that there is no product scrap or wrong size cutting during the plate-cutting process. In case of a corner drop and crack at the cutting position of the rock plate during the cutting process, a small piece of rock plate or wood can be found to support the small piece of a rock plate to be cut, or a rock plate with a width of 100mm and a length of about 200mm can be used to cross the cutting position and top on the end face of the rock plate to be cut, which can prevent the rock plate from bursting at the cutting position when sawing the rock plate.

05. Correct unloading method

Some rock slabs are flexible, easy to bend and deform, and have large specifications, so pay attention to the correct method when taking the cut rock slabs off the machine table. If the rock slab can be taken down from the machine platform by people, try to use people to take it, and use fewer lifting clips, especially for the rock slab that has been cut. If the rock slab is lifted by lifting clips, the force is not well controlled, or the rock slab shakes left and right during the lifting process, it is easy to crack the rock slab from the cut. It is better for the rock plate to move vertically, which can reduce the bending deformation during transportation and may lead to the fracture of the rock plate; For the movement of special-shaped plates at the opening, it is better to have a special person protect the opening, or adopt some special devices for rock plate handling to prevent the rock plate products from cracking from the opening.

06. Correct product placement method

The transfer frame for placing rock plate products should be lengthened, with a length of more than 2000mm and a height of not less than 1000mm. Because the rock plate has a large product specification, it is easy to break the rock plate and overturn the product when the rock plate products are transferred without using lengthened and heightened iron frames.
